  1. Comparison for unweighted network characteristics of the present study with earlier reported work. Although there are considerable methodological differences between these studies, all results indicate that network structure in both healthy persons and AD patients can be described as having small-world network characteristics (σ>1). N = number of nodes in the graph, γ = normalized clustering coefficient, λ = normalized characteristic path length, σ = small-worldness (γ/λ). In the EEG and MEG studies, values have been averaged over all frequency bands.
