Scale bar = 50 μm. E shows Western blots of striatal protein samples taken from 6-OHDA lesioned animals. Blots from two animals are shown for comparison. Membranes were blotted with antibodies against tyrosine hydroxylase (TH), GLT-1, GLAST, GFAP or beta-tubulin (βtub). Molecular weights (KDa) of protein bands are indicated, the glutamate transporters GLT-1 and GLAST are found as monomeric (67 KDa) and multimeric (ca. 190 KDa) species.
