Each small box marks a region shown at higher magnification in an adjacent panel. b, Quantification of 8-OHdG-positive cells in the cortex and hippocampus. In the cortex, there was no significant difference in 8-OHdG immunoreactivity between the two groups (P = 0.77). In the hippocampus, the HRW group had significantly lower number of 8-OHdG-positive cells (P = 0.01). Data were analyzed by an unpaired t-test.
