Syringes indicate the corresponding fill sites. Note that most labeled somata are situated in the connecting cord and only a few are located within the deutocerebrum. Note also that both the number of deutocerebral somata and the anterior shift in position of somata within the connecting cord decrease from anterior (commissure #2) to posterior (commissure #5).
