Suppression of neurosphere formation and cell viability of NSPCs by PARP inhibitors. a Multiple neurospheres were detectable after a 2-day incubation of NSPCs without a PARP inhibitor (control), while the number and size of neurospheres were much smaller in the presence of a PARP inhibitor (PJ34, DHIQ, or 3AB) in a dose-dependent manner. b Cell viability was determined by the MTS assay. The MTS-reduction activity of NSPCs was suppressed by the addition of a PARP inhibitor. Data shown in (b) are expressed as the ratio of the mean value of the control (vehicle alone) at time 0 (before incubation).
