Sevoflurane can cause brain damage in the prefrontal cortex in rats. Brain tissues from prefrontal cortex were homogenized, and inflammatory proteins levels were detected by immunoblotting and PCR. AC Proinflammatory cytokines were expressed in four groups of rats. Western blot images were cropped to remove irrelevant sections of the image and display only the proteins of interest. Loading control: protein extracted from prefrontal cortex tissue from sham subjects treated with saline (lane1). Tissue used for Western blot analysis was collected 24-h after the last drug-administration. DE PCR results of proinflammatory factors.
